Project Description

Redevelopment of the former Landmark Mall site in preparation for the proposed INOVA Hospital complex includes the addition of new public infrastructure, such as streets, sidewalks, street lights, storm water inlets, sewer lines, and open space landscaping. The public infrastructure will be designed and constructed by the Developer in coordination with the City. The City is contributing funding, as well as providing construction inspection and oversight. This allows the City to verify work is completed as indicated on the approved plans, before authorizing release of funding.

Construction

Construction Update

  • The Contractor placed curb/gutter along Road #7 and installed 42" RCP.
  • Construction of the segmental retaining wall along Road #7 has also started.
  • The Contractor continued the installation of electrical conduits and running wires through the conduits on both the 1st and 2nd levels of the parking garage.
