The City of Alexandria does not operate any public utilities. The following companies are the primary providers of their respective servers. Some of these services may also be available from other providers.
- For water main problems or other water problems, contact Virginia American Water at (800.452.6863)
- For problems with phone or Internet service, contact Verizon at (800.837.4966)
- For cable-related issues, contact Comcast at (800.266.2278)
- For power outages power line issues, or for miscellaneous items to be removed from power lines, contact Dominion Virginia Power at (866.DOM.HELP) (866.366.4357)
- If you smell gas, leave the area immediately, call 911, and then contact Washington Gas at (703.750.1000)
