Arts Grant Program
General Information
For over 30 years, the City of Alexandria has provided arts grants to numerous arts organizations, artists, and service providers to ensure that all residents of Alexandria have access to quality arts experiences in their community. For the FY21 arts grant process, the City will be moving to a new online grant application system through SurveyMonkey Apply.
Due to COVID-19 the timeline has been adjusted and may need to be adjusted further as this unprecedented situation continues and we can ensure that everyone has enough time to do complete, review, and score the applications.
Revised Timeline:
- April 2020: Grant system goes live
- April - May, 2020: SurveyMonkey Apply workshops and panel training
- May 31, 2020: Applications due
- June 1 - 3, 2020: Staff review
- June 4 - July 3, 2020: Panel review and scoring
- July 13 - 16, 2020: Panel meeting (one day this week)
- July 21, 2020: Arts Commission funding recommendation
- July 2020: Grants awarded
As a reminder, the next application process will only include the Arts Program Grant since the Arts Operating Grant has been discontinued.
