Alexandria Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspects in Robbery

Alexandria Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in the robbery of the 7-Eleven, located at 4610 Kenmore Avenue. On Tuesday, October 30, at 3:17 a.m., two suspects entered the business. One of them jumped over the counter while the other one went around the counter and grabbed the clerk. That suspect displayed a handgun and held the clerk while the other suspect went for the cash register. The suspects then pushed the clerk to the ground before running out of the store. The clerk was not seriously injured.

The first suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, 5’9” to 5’11”, weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up on top of his head, a black puffy NorthFace jacket, black jeans and black shoes.

The second suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, 5’7” to 5’9”, weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a red hat, a black warm up style jacket with white stripes going down both arms, dark pants and dark shoes.

The robbery was captured on surveillance video and can be viewed on the Alexandria Police Department’s YouTube Channel:

Anyone with information about this case or who recognizes the suspects in the surveillance video is asked to call Detective William Oakley of the Criminal Investigations Section at 703.746.6606.

Detectives would like to remind citizens that they may remain anonymous.
