Section 11-808(D) - Protest Petition - On March 16, 2013, City Council approved a text amendment to Section 11-808(D) of the Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the text amendment is to clarify the “protest petition” provision, which applies solely to amendments to the City’s zoning map. City Council also approved a recommendation by the Planning Commission that City staff conduct further study of Section 11-808 to examine issues raised by the community.  City staff will bring specific recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council for potential changes to Section 11-808(D) in the coming months. For the staff report to City Council, click here.
