What is the Alexandria Food Safety Advisory Council?

The Alexandria Food Safety Advisory Council is a group of volunteers that strive to advanced food safety and to improve communications between the Health Department, the restaurant industry, and consumers in the City of Alexandria.

Who is on the council?

The council's current members include local restaurant owners and operators, public health professionals, national / regional quality assurance officers (from locally operating restaurant chains), and several individuals from a myriad of other food safety and restauant interest groups.

All Alexandria Food Safety Advisory Council meetings usually take place on Wednesdays at the Alexandria Health
Department Building (4480 King Street, 5th Floor) between 2:15 PM—3:45 PM.
