Alexandria Marketing Fund Announces Second Round of Funding
Application Deadline July 7

Applications are now being accepted for the Alexandria Marketing Fund, a program administered by the Alexandria Marketing Committee. The program was reinvigorated in October 2007 by the Alexandria City Council with a goal of fostering public-private partnerships that promote the City as a destination for visiting, shopping, dining and doing business. City Council appropriates monies for the fund on an annual basis and the Marketing Committee reviews and approves applications for funding. In the first funding cycle, the Committee awarded three grants.

The application deadline for the second round of funding is July 7. The application guidelines and form are available at alexandriava.gov/index_quicklinks.aspx?id=11060 .

The Alexandria Marketing Fund is designed to foster projects that enhance the long-range marketing priorities of the City; increase awareness, while expanding the quality, of Alexandria’s diverse retail, dining, hospitality, cultural attractions and other businesses; promote Alexandria to specific target audiences, including residents and visitors; and to generate additional business sales and tax revenues in Alexandria.
