Fire Department Reports & Studies
Discussion:
Through its Strategic Planning Program, the Fire Department has established an organizational vision, mission, goals and objectives, and core values. Strategic Planning Program has five focus areas:
Accountability
- Community Engagement
- Prevention, Health and Safety
- Professionalism
- Readiness and Infrastructure
Within each focus area, goals have been defined and are fulfilled through delivery of products and services via Tactical Plans prepared by Task Forces composed of employees throughout the Department. Strategic and Tactical Plans are proposed, approved, drafted and finalized and results are delivered. Plans may be revised and updated due to new information, new events, or simply the passage of time. New Plans are proposed, and the cycles repeat. The Strategic and Tactical Planning Programs are continuously evolving and changing.
This section of the Fire Department’s Website contains plans and reports prepared internally and by external experts under contract to the City. We have also included the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 operational and capital improvement program budget requests released by the City Manager in February 2011. The studies and reports follow:
