The Alexandria Police Department recently announced seven new promotions. 

Those promoted include:

• Captain David Huchler promoted to Deputy Chief
• Lieutenant Shahram Fard promoted to Captain
• Lieutenant Len Fouch promoted to Captain
• Sergeant Ed Milner promoted to Lieutenant
• Sergeant Scott Patterson promoted to Lieutenant
• Officer Joseph Green promoted to Sergeant
• Officer Lemuel Houston promoted to Sergeant
  

“These promotions acknowledge the dedication and hard work these individuals have given to the Alexandria community,” said Police Chief Earl L. Cook. “On behalf of the men and women of the Police Department I wish to congratulate these officers and wish them luck in their new assignment.”
