Transportation Commission Meeting - May 17
Docket materials have been posted for the upcoming Transportation Commission meeting on Wednesday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will start with a public hearing to receive comments on the Duke Street In Motion project.
Duke Street In Motion is a multi-phased effort focused on ensuring that transit improvements in the Duke Street corridor, from West End Alexandria to the King Street Metro Station, provide transportation options that align with the community’s needs, provide efficient transportation choices, and keep the region moving. The City has been collecting community input on this project since Summer 2021.
The Alexandria Transportation Commission will make comments for the Duke Street Advisory Group to consider at its next meeting on May 25 as it prepares a recommendation to City Council for a preferred option and set of priorities.
The Transportation Commission meeting will be held in the City Council Workroom on the second floor of City Hall (301 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia, 22314) and electronically. Members of the Transportation Commission and staff are participating either in-person or from a remote location through video conference call on Zoom.
