City of Alexandria Seeks Volunteers for Earth Month Cleanup
The City of Alexandria is celebrating Earth Day throughout April with virtual and in-person events. Join the City’s Stormwater Management team in cleaning up litter at Four Mile Run Park, in conjunction with the Alice Ferguson Foundation’s Potomac River cleanup, on Saturday, April 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at 3700 Commonwealth Avenue.
Supplies and first aid will be available for the event, please be sure to dress appropriately and bring plenty of water. The group will meet in the cul-de-sac at the end of Commonwealth Avenue for a sign-in and pre-cleanup briefing (map below). If you plan on attending or have questions about the cleanup, please contact gavin.pellitteri@alexandriava.gov.
