City of Alexandria’s Tons of Trucks Event Back at Chinquapin Park This Saturday

Tons of Trucks is back this Saturday, September 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chinquapin Park. Those interested in participating can purchase tickets to this event, which is $5 per person, before the event until 9 a.m. on Friday, September 8 or at the event. Attendees can expect a variety of different vehicles and activities from 11 City departments, food trucks, giveaways, prizes, arts & crafts and more.
Alexandria is encouraging those traveling to the event to take public transit using DASH Bus and Capital Bikeshare. Those who travel using public transit are eligible to choose from 3 great door prizes while supplies last! And new this year, Tons of Trucks will have Two Wheel Valet on hand for personal bikes, eBikes and scooter “valet”. Parking will be available at Alexandria City High School (3330 King St), First Baptist Church (2392 King St) and on the curbside along King St in front of Chinquapin Park.
