Alexandria City Council Provides Updates and Responds to Questions at Town Hall Hosted on September 24
On Sunday, September 24, Alexandria City Council hosted a town hall at the recently-opened Del Pepper Community Resource Center (4850 Mark Center Dr.) on the city’s West End.
The event was an opportunity for members of Council to provide updates on upcoming projects and initiatives in Alexandria and respond to questions submitted by the audience in real time.
Mayor Wilson moderated the town hall event along with the entire City Council. More than 80 community members attended, submitting over 40 question cards which allowed Council to respond to as many as possible within the allotted time.
To accommodate our diverse community members, Amharic, Arabic and Spanish interpreters were also in attendance at the town hall.
Council will continue to host town halls and similar events in the near future. Be sure to sign up for updates to stay informed.
The full recording of the town hall is now available for those who were unable to attend.
