APD Seeking Suspect in Commercial Armed Robbery on West Glebe Road
(Alexandria, Va.) - Tonight, the Alexandria Police Department (APD) is seeking the suspect involved in a commercial armed robbery.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., APD officers responded to the 1000 block of West Glebe Road for a call of a commercial armed robbery at a tobacco mini-mart. A male displayed a firearm and took an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries reported. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, no vehicle was seen. Arlington Police were notified and assisted in canvassing the area of South Glebe Road.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to mid-30s, wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jeans, and a black jacket.
APD is reviewing video from surveillance cameras in the area. If anyone has video from the incident they should call the non-emergency number at 703.746.4444.
If you see or know the whereabouts of this individual, please call 911 immediately. Do not approach the suspect, he is armed.
