(*Update: 1/24/2023*) -- On January 20, 2023, the Alexandria Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit with the help of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task force took Brian Wordell Morris Jr., 27, a City of Alexandria Resident, into custody in connection with this incident.
Later the same day, Mr. Morris was mistakenly released from a Prince George's County Jail; his current whereabouts are unknown. The Alexandria Police Department Investigates Shooting Incident

ALEXANDRIA, VA. – The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on the evening of January 15, 2023, in the 4600 block of Duke street.
During this incident, one person was shot. The victim a 22-year-old male, was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries and is expected to recover.
APD is currently investigating a person(s) of interest in relation to this incident.
