The Alexandria Police Department Investigates Fatal Crash

ALEXANDRIA, VA.–The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the intersection of West Braddock Road and High Street.
At approximately 8:01 PM, police responded to the area for a crash involving an SUV and motorcycle. The preliminary investigation suggests a motorcycle, operated by a 42-year-old male, and an SUV, operated by a 46-year-old female, collided.
The motorcycle operator was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries, we are withholding the decedents name until 24 hours after next-of-kin has been notified.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene.
APD’s Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
