All City of Alexandria government offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Residential trash and recycling will be collected on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, beginning at 6 a.m.

Tuesday, January 26 – Wayfinding Stakeholder Advisory Group Meeting
The Wayfinding Stakeholder Advisory Group will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Room 2000, City Hall, 301 King St. The group provides input on the development of a comprehensive wayfinding signage system for the City of Alexandria. The wayfinding system will project a consistent image for the entire city; reduce visual clutter; and promote walking, bicycling, and use of mass transit. Tuesday, January 26 – Ad Hoc Fort Ward Park and Museum Area Stakeholder Advisory Group Meeting 
The City of Alexandria's Ad Hoc Fort Ward Park and Museum Area Stakeholder Advisory Group will meet at the Fort Ward Museum, 4301 W. Braddock Rd. at 7 p.m. Established by City Council resolution in June 2009, the Advisory Group advises City staff on Fort Ward Park and Museum use and management. FY 2011 Budget Process
The City of Alexandria expects Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 to be another challenging year based on early economic forecasts. As the City begins the budget process, we would like your input regarding the FY 2011 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program. Residents are encouraged to submit their comments online at
