Alexandria Commission on HIV/AIDS Seeks Nominations for Service Awards

The Alexandria Commission on HIV/AIDS is seeking nominations for its Second Annual HIV/AIDS Service Awards Reception. The awards program is designed to acknowledge and honor the extraordinary efforts of peer-nominated HIV/AIDS providers and advocates in Alexandria. Nominations are being sought for the categories of HIV/AIDS Lifetime Achievement Award, Prevention/ Education Award, and the Client Services Award.

The deadline for Nominations is Wednesday, November 12, 2008. To request a nomination packet, please e-mail Nadine Eads at nadineeads@comcast.net or download the nomination packet at www.alexandriava.gov/health. Award recipients will be honored at a reception on World AIDS Day, Monday, December 1 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Alexandria, 2932 King St.
