Mandatory Disease Reporting Information

Virginia State law (Sections 32.1-3UU6UH and HU32.1-3UU7UH of the Code of Virginia and 12 VAC 5-90-80 and 12 VAC 5-90-90 of the Board of Health Regulations for Disease Reporting and Control (click here) requires the reporting of certain diseases to the local health department serving the jurisdiction where the physician practices.

Reports to Clinicians

As needed, the health department sends reports to healthcare providers to provide important public health information. If your office currently does not receive these reports directly from the health department and is interested in being added to the distribution list, please contact us, at 703.746.4951.
