Alexandria Police Need Help Locating Missing Endangered Adult

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 71-year-old man who has been missing since around 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 4. The man suffers from dementia and is in need of daily medications. He was reportedly on his way to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington.

David Short, of the 200 block of Guthrie Avenue, is believed to be driving a 2006 silver/green Honda CRV. The license plate is VA KBK-6001.  He is described as a white male, 5’10”, 143 pounds, slightly balding with gray hair. He also has a thick gray mustache and blue eyes. It is unknown what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.

It is a possibility that Mr. Short might be in the Gainesville area of Prince William County in an attempt to locate a relative.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of David Short is asked to call the Alexandria Police Department at 703-746-4444.
