Alexandria Police Officer Shot While Making Traffic Stop

This evening, at 7:48 P.M., an Alexandria Police Officer was shot during a routine traffic stop at Glebe Road and Interstate 395 in Arlington County. The wounded officer, whose name is being withheld, was protected by his bullet resistant vest and is expected to survive.
