On July 12, the victim, a 38 year-old Fairfax man, was shot during an attempted street robbery. Yesterday, Detectives arrested a 16 year-old Alexandria juvenile and charged him with malicious wounding, attempt robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. On July 15, Alexandria detectives arrested Robert Boyd, Jr., 18, of 307 Oronoco Street, was charged with Malicious Wounding and Attempted Robbery.
On Saturday, July 12, around 1:30 A.M., police were called to the 100 block of South Royal Street for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived on the scene and located the victim. The victim suffered from a gunshot wound to the arm. He was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries and was released later that night. There were no further injuries.
