Agreed.
We're working on the emergency management
plans and providing training to firefighters on dealing with ethanol emergencies.
We'll compose a response and have it ready.

I would say the first response is a
Norfolk Southern response to their readiness, which is discussed in the
memo. They need to be able to talk about what the result would be of a
fire on-site ----- with the provisions they have made, have they or have
we assessed the probability of an incident affecting those who live ____x
yards away.
As to the CIty we can say that our Fire
Department which includes emergency management is looking at this as well.
Our first step was getting the equipment and supplies to respond.
Bottom line: both will have to get back
with an answer.

I received the below comments shortly after sending
out the NSC information.
From Mindy Lyle:
Steve,
Since this facility is less than 100 yards from some of the homes in Cameron
Station, what are the emergency plans? If there are none in place, what
is
being done to put some in place? I know that Ingrid and I have both
had
questions concerning the tank cars. How does this activity fall into
place
with the emergency readiness group since we now have highly flammable
liquids in a residential area.

From John Pecic - Summers Grove
Steve, Summer's Grove has similar concerns, especially
since they will drive the trucks
on roads next to our community. We have a homeowners
meeting on Monday, June 2
at 7pm and want to hear their plans. I'm not sure
if our Congressional (J. Moran) and
State (B. Moran) Representatives know about this situation,
however, before calling
them my residents need to know what is going on!!!
