Center & Aquatics Facility Feasibility Study

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will host a public meeting on Thursday, June 12, 6:30 p.m. at the Minnie Howard School Cafeteria, 3801 W. The study is exploring options for a new 50 meter indoor pool and renovated recreation pool at the facility.

In May 2014, the Hughes Group completed the Task-1A Feasibility Study and City Council received a presentation on the findings. For additional information, contact Laura Durham, Open Space Coordinator, at 703.746.5493 or laura.durham@alexandriava.gov.

If you are unable to attend and would like to share your ideas, please fill out the Chinquapin Swim Center - Feasibility Study questionnaire and send to laura.durham@alexandriava.gov. Hard copies are also available at the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center and Aquatics Facility.”
