City of Alexandria Announces Reduced Outdoor Pools Hours for 2011 Season

Beginning Monday, August 22, the City of Alexandria outdoor pools will return to a limited schedule. The John Ewald Pool, located at 4500 Duke St., will close for the season on Friday, August 19 at 6 p.m. The remaining City pools will be open through Monday, September 5 as follows:

The Memorial Pool
Charles Houston Recreation Center

• Operating Hours August 22 - September 5:
  • Standard Hours:
    Monday - Friday: Noon to 6 p.m.
  • Extended Hours:
    Tuesday & Thursday: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
    Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Sunday: Noon to 6 p.m
  • Holiday 
    Labor Day from noon - 6 p.m.

Old Town Pool
