Alexandria Police Investigate Shooting on Holmes Run Parkway

Alexandria Police are investigating a shooting that occurred shortly before 7 am in the 5400 block of Holmes Run Parkway. An adult male, 35, has been flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital and was listed in critical condition with wounds to the body. 

Another male who was at the home was treated on the scene for a gunshot wound to the hand. This male, 23, was interviewed by detectives then was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital for further medical treatment. 

The cause of this event is under investigation.   The subject in critical condition is a former resident of the home, and was there to pick up personal items from his estranged wife who resides there.  The subject with the hand wound was a visitor.  A pistol was recovered.
