This page includes links to reference documents for those interested in studying the development of planning policies in the City of Alexandria and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region over time. Most documents here and that will be added to this page as time permits date from the 1960s to the present, and were collected by City Demographer Ralph Rosenbaum during his employment with the City. Policy documents and studies tend to be discarded to make room when the superseding document is published, and some of the documents here may no longer exist in any other form.
If you have documents that you think would be of interest in this collection, please contact Pat Mann in the Alexandria Department of Planning and Zoning at 703.746.3857, or e-mail to the contact link in the sidebar.
