City of Alexandria to Hold Ninth Annual Dance for All Ages
“Sock Hop” Features Music of 1950s and 1960s

The City of Alexandria invites the community to attend the ninth Annual Dance for All Ages on Saturday, March 29, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King St. Admission and parking are free.

This year’s theme is a “Sock Hop,” especially designed to appeal to both the young and the young at heart. The Sock Hop will feature music of the 1950s and 1960s by disc jockey Steve McIntire. There will be door prizes and awards given for the best outfit—and the wackiest socks! Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP by Friday, March 21, to Robert Gordon at 703.838.4831, or e-mail robert.gordon@alexandriava.gov.

Event sponsors include the Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, the Department of Human Services’ Office of Aging and Adult Services, the T. C. Williams High School Student Council, and the Alexandria Successful Aging Committee.

The City of Alexandria is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. To request a reasonable accommodation or to request materials in an alternative format, call Robert Gordon at 703.838.4831 (TTY 703.838.4902) or e-mail robert.gordon@alexandriava.gov
