Alexandria Sheriff's Deputies Honored by Old Town Businesses

The Old Town Business and Professional Association honored the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office Inmate Work Detail Deputies for their cleanup efforts in Old Town during the past year.  The Work Detail has concentrated on the King Street corridor painting light poles, mulching tree beds, removing trash, and completing other projects, providing valuable cost savings to the City.  Deputy Sgt. Candra Callicott, and Deputies James Velez and Valarie Perry were honored in a ceremony at the Westin Hotel on January 24.  For more information, contact Mondre Kornegay at 703-746-4114, ext. 4927.
