Juvenile Mental Health Hearings

In these cases the Judge of the Juvenile Court decides whether a child is in need of residential or non-residential mental health treatment or is in need of no treatment at all.

For children under 14 years of age, parents in most circumstances do not need the Juvenile Court's permission to place a child in a residential mental health setting.
