CSX, and the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation are partnering with VRE and Amtrak to improve passenger service by constructing a new railroad bridge in Alexandria. The bridge construction project is located near 4500 Wheeler Ave. Construction will start in November, and will be completed in the spring. During construction residents may notice noise disturbances at various times.
