Gadsby's Tavern Museum was the center of Alexandria’s social scene in the 18th century - and now these historic rooms are available to you and your guests for your own historic event! The Ballroom and Assembly Room with their elegant chandeliers and unique architectural features make Gadsby's Tavern Museum an ideal setting for your ceremony, corporate retreat, or next party!

General Information

Two rooms are available for rent in the Museum: the Assembly Room, located in the c. 1785 tavern, and the historic 18th century Ballroom, located in the 1792 City Tavern building. Click here to view the site plan.  All rentals require a non-refundable deposit to reserve your date.

Included in the rental fee:

• 4' round tables (12)
• 6’ banquet tables (10)
• White folding chairs (120)
• Forest green tablecloths
• Hurricane lamps, brass candlesticks, & ivory candles
• Museum staff time to clean-up
• Costumed guides (upon request)

Gadsby's Tavern Museum is an ideal site for all of your wedding events from engagement parties to wedding receptions:
