Alexandria MRC Training

Training is an important part of how we prepare our MRC volunteers. The training plan for Alexandria MRC members was developed based on the expected core competencies of all MRC volunteers, as well as federal and regional requirements. Please refer to the Alexandria MRC Training Matrix to determine required training sessions for each volunteer level.

Some training sessions, such as the MRC Volunteer Orientation, are offered in-class only; however, many training sessions can be completed online.

Sample courses include:MRC Vol - Outreach Training

  • MRC Orientation
  • Psychological First Aid
  • Introduction to Epidemiology
  • Vector Borne Illnesses
  • Incident Command System courses
