Citizen Corps Council
Description:
The Citizen Corps is responsible for creating opportunities for individuals to volunteer to help their communities prepare for and respond to emergencies by bringing together local leaders, citizen volunteers and the network of first responder organizations, such as public safety departments, EMS, Health, and Transportation and Environmental Services. The Citizen Corps will also encourage Alexandrians to prepare their families, their neighborhoods, and their communities and offer, where appropriate, assistance to the emergency response agencies.
The Citizen Corps Council meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Approximately four hours per month are required of Council members.

1 Representative of the Emergency Medical Services Council, Medical Reserve Corps, or a person with emergency medical response experience
