Ride Confidently With WABA Class

Alexandria added over 11 lane miles of on-street bicycle facilities last year, and over one mile in shared-use paths.  In coordination with making the city more bicycle friendly, the City’s Local Motion program is also teaming up with the Washington Area Bicyclists Association (WABA) this spring to offer six adult bicycle education classes.  Classes are for a wide range of skill sets, from beginner to advanced.  Beginner classes teach participants how to ride a bicycle, and more advanced 3 hour classes teach bike handling skills, and how to ride safely in traffic, and rules of the road.
