King/Beauregard Intersection Improvements The Department of Transportation and Environmental Services (T&ES) is working on an intersection improvement project at the intersection of King Street and Beauregard Street and Walter Reed Drive. The proposed at grade improvements will add an additional left turn lane in each direction on King Street, medians and a 10’ shared use path on portions of King Street and North Beauregard Street. The improvements will increase capacity and safety through the corridor. Wednesday, November 18, 2009, 6-8 p.m. Find out about the proposed improvements to the King/Beauregard Intersection that start at Chesterfield Road and end at North Hampton Drive. The proposed project will add an additional left turn lane in each direction on King Street, a median and 10’ shared use path on King Street between Walter Reed Drive and 28th Street and on North Beauregard Street. Review the proposed project plans and the National Environmental Policy Act documentation at the public hearing or at City of Alexandria City Hall, 301 King Street, Room 3200.
