Walking Trail Construction Scheduled at Founders Park

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will install a new pathway surface on a portion of the walking trail at Founders Park, 351 N. Union St. Approximately 180 feet of existing stone dust pathway will be resurfaced with a permeable pavement system.

The pavement system is manufactured from gravel and recycled tires, providing a firm, stable water permeable surface that is handicap accessible and less prone to erosion and washout. The work is weather dependent and is scheduled to occur between January 7 and January 25. Work areas will be closed to the public, and Founders Park will remain open.
