Hours of Operation

The Chinquapin Park Recreation Center will operate on the following schedule May 6 through June 16:

• Monday, May 6 through Sunday, May 26 (Normal operating schedule)
  Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  Friday: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  Saturday & Sunday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Monday, May 27: Closed (Memorial Day)
• Tuesday, May 28 through Sunday, June 16
  Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  Friday: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  Saturday: 8 a.m. to Noon
  Sunday: Closed

Admission Fees & Passes

Daily Admission & Multiple Visit Passes

• The Chinquapin Park Recreation Center offers users options including daily admissions and a variety of multiple visit passes. To review admission options, click here to view the Department Fee Schedule. 
• NOTE: Children 12 years & younger must be accompanied by a paying adult who is required to supervise them throughout the facility. Children 13 & older are required to show a current photo i.d. Photo i.d.'s may be acquired at community recreation centers. Current school I.D.'s may be used.

Walleyball

• 2 hour rental minimum required; up to 8 players. Additional players pay general admission. Call 703.746.5553 for more information.

Racquetball Courts & Fees

• Click here to view the Department Fee Schedule. Quarter Court Registration begins at 6 PM on the 3rd Monday (residents) and 3rd Tuesday (nonresidents) of the month prior to the following quarters:

Tennis Courts Reservation & Fees
Tennis courts may be reserved at the Front Desk one hour prior to scheduling a playing time. No phone reservations. Otherwise, courts are available on a first come, first serve basis unless reserved. Call 703.746.5553 for more information.

• Prime time: Monday through Friday - 5 pm to 10 pm
• Saturday, Sundays, Holidays: 8 am to 8 pm

Birthday Party Packages & Facility Rentals

• Swim Party - Children ages 5-12
  • Includes one hour of swimming and one hour use of the Party Room
  • Fee: $9 per child, chaperones free.
  • Minimum 10 / Maximum 15
• Soft Playroom Birthday Party - Children ages 5 & younger
  • Includes one hour use of the Soft Playroom and one hour use of the Party Room
  • Fee: $9 per child. Chaperones free.
  • Minimum 10 / Maximum 16  
• Facility Rentals
  • Individual rooms and swimming pool are available for rental.
  • Rentals include room set up with tables and chairs.

Alexandria Soft Playroom 

Designmed for preschool age children five and younger, the Soft Playroom offers a clean play environment to burn off energy. Parents, guardians and their kids can share play zones loaded with soft toys and activities, while meeting with existing playgroups and making new friends.

• Children and adults/chaperone must wear socks in the soft playroom.
• Hours: 9 am to one-half hour prior to closing.
  • It is recommended to call the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center at 703.746.5553 prior to drop in use. The Soft Playroom schedule may be adjusted for regular cleaning, birthday party and private rentals.
• Fees:
  • Drop In: $4 per child, per half hour. Chaperones free.
  • Private Rental: $50 per hour. Maximum 16
  • Birthday Party Reservations: $50 deposit. See Soft Playroom Birthday Party above.

Table Tennis

Participants must bring their own table tennis balls. Paddles are available at Chinquapin, or participants may bring their own.
