Long Range Educational Facilities Plan

We want to hear from you!

The City of Alexandria and Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) are drafting a Long Range Educational Facilities Plan (LREFP) based on a 24-month joint effort to improve facilities planning, accommodate the growing student population, and enhance educational programs and services.

The community is invited to provide feedback on the draft plan by visiting AlexEngage, the City’s online engagement forum.

Comments received by Monday, June 8th will inform the revised draft plan to be presented at the June 11th ACPS School Board Meeting and the June 13th City Council Public Hearing. The final plan will be used by ACPS for both long range planning and for making short term decisions as part of the annual Capital Improvement Program process. It is intended that the plan be a 'living document', updated annually with new enrollment data, revised enrollment forecasts and any other pertinent information.
